Over the past few months I’ve been quietly refocusing my work.
Not because family businesses need more advice, but because many need space to think clearly before pressure turns into damage.
I see too many good people making decisions too late, too quickly, or under emotional strain, not through lack of care, but lack of space.
I’ve brought my work together more deliberately now, separating writing and speaking from structured support for those who want a calm, private way to reflect and decide what matters next.
There’s no funnel and no expectation to take a particular path.
Some will read and reflect. Others may want something more structured. Both are fine.
I’d genuinely welcome your perspective: does this emphasis on clarity before action resonate with what you’re seeing?
This page isn’t here to persuade or convince.
It exists because some people have asked thoughtful questions about the direction of my work and others may be quietly asking similar ones.
If you’re simply reading my regular weekly thoughts and reflecting in your own way, that’s absolutely fine.
If you’re curious about why this work has taken its current shape, you may find the answers below helpful.
There’s no expectation to do anything with this information. It’s here for context, not conversion.
Why the change of direction?
The work hasn’t really changed — the focus has. Over time it became clear to me that many family businesses don’t need more activity. They need space to think clearly before decisions are made under pressure. Is this replacing your previous work?
No. Writing, speaking, and conversations remain part of what I do. What’s changed is that the practical support is now clearer, quieter, and easier to access when it’s genuinely needed. Is this a programme or a funnel?
No. There’s no sequence, no pressure, and no expectation that people move from one step to another. Each resource stands on its own.Who is this for?
Family business owners, next-generation leaders, and partners who feel pressure building and want clarity before acting. What’s available right now?
A short reflective Pressure Snapshot, a more structured guided programme, and private advisory conversations for a small number of families. Each is calm, confidential, and done in your own time. What if I just want to read and reflect?
That’s absolutely fine. Many people will never go beyond my regular writing — and that’s as it should be.Why ask for feedback?
Because this work has always evolved through conversation. Your perspective helps keep it grounded in reality. Thanks for taking the time to read this and as ever if I can help in any way just let me know !
